David Hose
Former CEO, Signalsoft; CDO and SVP/GM, Openwave
Mr. Hose has worked in both an entrepreneurial and general management capacity with numerous wireless companies and is currently Chairman of Ideas & Plans where he works with early- and late-stage firms in the mobile industry.
Mr Hose's experience spans over 25 years having focused in the areas of software and service development. From 2002 to 2004, David Hose held positions at Openwave Systems, including Chief Development Officer and SVP/GM of the Client Software Business. He was previously founder and CEO of Signalsoft, a pioneer in the development of location-based services for mobile phones. He guided Signalsoft through its venture funding, subsequent IPO and acquisition by Openwave. Prior to SignalSoft, Mr. Hose started J&D Software, a C++ development tools business he sold to Rogue Wave Software, and started software projects that are now part of companies like Motorola, EDS, and Intrado. He currently serves on the boards of Bridgeport Networks, Buzzwire, JumpTap, and Useful Networks.
