Paul Mercer
Vice President, Engineering and Operations
With a proven record of successfully managing worldwide engineering and customer support organizations, Mercer drives product development from concept to deployment. Mr. Mercer is responsible for leading product development and customer support organizations globally.
Career
Mercer brings over 25 years of experience spanning R&D, project management, systems engineering, testing and deployment across a wide range of leading technologies. Prior to Roundbox, Mercer was Vice President, Engineering at sentitO, now Verso Technologies, in charge of strategic development and implementation of the company's technology plan. Mercer is well known for his extensive experience in building carrier-grade networks, products, and services for global service providers with legacy telecommunications and packet-based networks and VoIP, SIP Switching, WiMax, LAN, WAN, and MAN applications.
Earlier in his career, Mercer served as Senior Vice President of Engineering for Integral Access (now Telco Systems), a company specializing in packet-based voice and data access systems for service providers. In this role, he directed all aspects of product definition, design, and deployment; quality, program and project management; and field support.
Mr. Mercer has an M.E. with highest honors from Cornell University, NY, and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, PA.
