The Roundbox Announcement package of the Roundbox Server for Mobile DTV adds an Announcement Channel, or Electronic Service Guide, to provide a more engaging consumer experience with extended program guide information for both current and future programming including detailed program descriptions, parental ratings as well as channel logos.

The Announcement package broadcasts an OMA BCAST-compliant service guide for up to four mobile DTV channels, with up to four hours of scheduled program listings data provided per channel. An Enhanced ESG with Guide Expansion Pack option is available for broadcasters looking to support more than four mobile channels or offer longer duration program schedules. Additional management controls included with the Enhanced ESG option give broadcasters more flexible control over the allocated bandwidth and scheduling of program data broadcasts; making it possible to deliver rich program information while still maintaining fast guide acquisition times.

With an intuitive, Web-based interface, the Roundbox Server for Mobile DTV makes it quick and easy to set up the system and start broadcasting accurate and up-to-date signaling and announcement information, essential to ensuring an excellent experience for mobile TV users, regardless of the devices on which they watch.
