The Roundbox Player for Mobile DTV is a complete application for watching and recording mobile television. It's available to OEMs as a ready-to-ship reference application or a white label version that can be customized.

Video Playback
  • Scalable Video Region - Media Player supports scalable video, including drag resize for platforms that support it
  • Full-screen Playback - Optimized presentation for full-screen video playback; on-screen control for entering / exiting full-screen playback mode with support for dedicated device key for switching video modes
  • On-screen Guide - Channel and program information summary overlaid on live video (animated, semi-transparent); on-screen control to open Program Guide
  • Channel Controls - On-screen controls for channel up and channel down; support for dedicated device keys
  • Volume Controls - On-screen controls for mute, volume up and volume down; support for dedicated device keys
Program Guide
  • Channel List - Complete list of all channels; tune by selecting channel from the list
  • Program Schedule - Upcoming programs on current channel; length of schedule depends on broadcast ESG
  • Program Details - Channel number, channel call letters, channel logo, program date & start/end times, program title, program description, closed captioning indicator, content advisory / parental rating
  • Picture in Guide - Live playback of current program on current channel, while user is viewing program guide
User Settings
  • Channel List - Present list of all available channels and enable the user to select which of the available channels appear in the Program Guide
  • Channel Scan - Initiate scan / re-scan for available channels
  • Video Aspect Ratio - Choose between "letterbox" video aspect ratio and "zoom-to-fit"
  • Regions - Choose metropolitan area / geographic region in which the receiver will operate, to optimize channel scan
