The Roundbox Client Toolkit for Mobile DTV is a complete client middleware solution for ATSC Mobile DTV. The Roundbox Client Toolkit provides key functionality for receiving and playing back broadcast media streams, and receiving and managing program metadata and system information adhering to the ATSC-M/H mobile television standard, ATSC A/153. In particular, the Roundbox middleware receives and parses the ATSC-M/H Service Signaling Channel (SSC) and the Announcement Channel, also known as the Electronic Service Guide (ESG).

The Roundbox Client Toolkit exposes Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for the purposes of interfacing with, and providing functionality to, application software.
